REPORT OF THE JOSHUA VS PULEV FIGHT
Anthony Joshua stopped Kubrat Pulev to retain his WBA, WBO, IBF and IBO world heavyweight titles on Saturday night at Wembley Arena in London.
The Brit, who had not fought for 12 months since defeating Andy Ruiz to regain his championship belts in December 2019, showed some understandable signs of rust in the ring, but still produced a destructive performance in front of 1,000 fans.
The victory, achieved with a ninth round stoppage with the back of an impressive forehand, now surely sets the table for a titanic showdown between all Brits with WBC and Ring magazine champion Tyson Fury in 2021.
The fight looked almost over in the third with a fierce uppercut on the Bulgarian challenger, but Joshua surprisingly fell back in the fourth, challenging those in the arena eager for an early finish.

LISTEN TO THE FOLLOWING FOR JOSHUA
“There’s been a lot of talk,” Eddie Hearn said after the ninth round win. “As he said, it’s less talk, more action. Ever since he came to the office, he wanted to be the Undisputed Champion of the World.
“We are going to be friendly, we are going to be good. We know what we have to do. Starting tomorrow, we will do the Tyson Fury fight right away.
“It is the only fight that can be done in boxing. It is the biggest fight in boxing. It is the biggest fight in the history of British boxing.”

FROCH ON WHAT NEXT FOR AJ
“I think the only man there is for him right now is the Tyson Fury fight,” Froch told Sky Sports.
“It’s the only fight that the crowd is going to accept and it’s the fight that people want. It’s almost like ancient Rome in the Colosseum when the crowd has spoken. Fans who follow Anthony Joshua want to see Tyson’s Fight Fury.
“He has Oleksandr Usyk for the mandatory WBO, that’s an option. There are still question marks. Is Tyson Fury in his head, in his mind?
“Eddie Hearn said there, ‘Tomorrow morning we’ll talk on the phone. We’re going to have that fight. ‘ Let’s see if it happens, but that’s really the fight we need to see now. “

FURY: I’LL GET TO AJ IN TWO
Tyson Fury has called up Anthony Joshua following the WBO, WBA, IBF and IBO heavyweight champion’s victory over Kubrat Pulev.
Joshua knocked out Pulev in the ninth round at Wembley Arena in London on Saturday night, and Fury, the WBC heavyweight champion, reacted quickly. Speaking in a video on Twitter, Fury predicted that he will knock out Joshua in two rounds if the pair meet in 2021 as expected.
“Well there you have it everyone, Anthony Joshua just screwed up live on TV,” Fury said in a video on Twitter.
“They asked him, ‘Did you want the fight? [against me]? ‘And he walked around the bushes and put his ass on the edge …

MAYWEATHER IN JOSHUA
“It’s always good to see great boxing,” Mayweather told the Sky Sports Box Office. “The UK is a great place, there are so many great fighters. I’m proud of Anthony Joshua, and he’s lights, camera, action.
“He’s one of the best heavyweights out there. He got a gold medal before. His career is going great, he’s a great fighter.
“Anything can happen in the sport of boxing, one shot can change everything. He is a great fighter, a great man, a gentleman and I respect his craft.”
