Andre Ayew helped Swansea City secure a 1-1 draw against Sheffield Wednesday in a championship game on Wednesday night.

The 30-year-old was a second-half substitute at Liberty Stadium and shone in the match, helping his team secure a draw.

The Ghana international has been in good shape since the start of the season, opening his goal tally against Wycombe Wanderers.

The versatile forward has amassed seven goals this season to help the Swans reach fourth place in the league table.

Sheffield Wednesday rushed forward in the 27th minute through Adam Reach after receiving a good pass from Barry Bannan.

Ghana international Ayew then scored an important tying goal 14 minutes after joining the game to ensure the team shared the points at Liberty Stadium.

The forward has now appeared in 12 championship games this season, scoring five goals and providing an assist.

Ayew has been a key member of the Swans since rejoining the team in a second spell in 2018 after leaving West Ham United.

The Black Stars captain has made more than 70 appearances in all competitions for Swansea City in his second spell.

Ayew will look forward to continuing their impressive performances when Swansea City meet Nottingham Forest in their next league game on Sunday.

The 30-year-old was part of the West African team that secured victory over Sudan in the African Cup of Nations qualifiers.
