Andre Dede Ayew was named Official Player of the Match when his team, Swansea City, beat Nottingham Forest 1-0 on Sunday 2 November in the Championship.

Connor Roberts’ first goal of the season helped the Swans rack up points and move to fourth place in the league table.

The winger headed the only goal of the game in the 43rd minute.

Ayew was returning to the starting lineup after recovering from a hamstring injury sustained during the FIFA international break.

His ball inside the box was deflected in the air, and Roberts followed hard to beat Ameobi to the ball and headed for the far corner.

The Black Stars captain nearly doubled the lead early in the second half, but his overhead kick was deflected after good work from Jake Bidwell and Matt Grimes down the left.

Ayew confirmed her award in a Tweet: “3 points from home ???? I love it! Big turn guys ??? we keep going .. ???? MOTM.”
