Amad Diallo returned to training with Manchester United before the weekend’s tie with Everton.
Diallo was photographed with his teammate Paul Pogba, recreating a picture the couple took together several years ago.
The snapshot-like image that Diallo shared of him meeting Paul Pogba when he was much younger.
United’s official website reported that the image below was taken around 2015, possibly slightly earlier, with details on the exact date somewhat sketchy.
The one above was taken at Thursday’s training session at Carrington, and when comparing the two, it shows how much Diallo has grown along with his career progression and, of course, Pogba’s ever-changing haircuts.
Will Diallo be on the roster this weekend?
Solskjaer has a decision to make here, which will become apparent in the next 24 hours. United have an under-23 game tonight against Blackburn Rovers at 7pm.
Diallo played for the U23s last weekend and had a stellar turn, scoring two goals in the 6-3 win.
If he’s not on the team, it will be a strong indication that Solskjaer plans to get him involved in the team of the day against Everton.
What could happen is a small compromise. Diallo could play for the Under-23s, miss the Everton game and then become part of United’s first team to face West Ham in the FA Cup next Tuesday.
Solskjaer is clearly keeping a close eye on him and wants young talents to spend as much time as possible with top players like Pogba.
