Alex Morgan says he has learned a lot by watching José Mourinho’s team as they prepare to leave Tottenham Women and return to the United States in the New Year.

The 31-year-old, who has 170 appearances for the US and is a two-time Women’s World Cup winner, joined the Spurs from Orlando Pride in September.

Utilizing her time to regain match fitness after giving birth in May, the forward made five appearances, scoring twice in the Women’s Super League (WSL).

Speaking exclusively to The women’s soccer showMorgan admits that he will take a thing or two to the United States as he sees Mourinho’s team climb the Premier League table.

“They have gotten off to a pretty good start and José (Mourinho) has done a great job to bring this team to the top,” Morgan said.

“That was a good thing to see when I entered my phase with the Spurs Women, as the top of the game always tries to steal from others at the top of the game. You are always trying to learn, improve and be the best.

Morgan was one of several of the USA’s 2019 World Cup winning teams that moved to the WSL at the start of the season, with Sam Mewis and Rose Lavelle joining Manchester City and Tobin Heath and Christen Press moving to the Manchester United.
