President Akufo-Addo gave his numerous security detachments and convoys a little respite and decided to go out alone to have a good time at a restaurant in the Ashanti region.
According to reports spotted by YEN.com.gh in modernghana, President Akufo-Addo, along with a single bodyguard, entered the Royal Park Hotel in Kumasi for dinner on Sunday, September 27, 2020.
The special visit to the hotel took place while the president was on a three-day tour of the Ashanti region.

Reports say that President Akufo-Addo quietly entered the hotel restaurant and sat patiently while waiting for his turn to be served.

As the president was enjoying his meal at the time, the first vice president of the New Patriotic Party (PNP) of the Asokwa constituency, Edmund Kyei, and other party members were also in the hotel.
It is believed that Mr. Kyei received some members of the PNP after his campaign activities and approached the president after he finished dinner and had some conversations with him.
Realizing that it was indeed Akufo-Addo at the restaurant, the excited Ghanaians greeted him and he easily responded to the cheers.
Before leaving the restaurant, President Akufo-Addo took pictures with Mr. Kyei and other people present.
Meanwhile, the founder and leader of the Ghana Freedom Party (GFP), Akua Donkor, has been spotted on a political campaign flyer in her run for the presidency in December 2020.

The flyer clearly indicated the intention of the politician, as it was boldly written: “Akua Donkor for President 2020.”
