President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo will begin a 3-day working visit to the North Western Region from Thursday.
Starting in Sefwi Wiawso, in the region’s Wiawso constituency, the President will inaugurate the North West Regional House of Chiefs and begin construction of an office complex for the Regional House of Chiefs.
Afterwards, he will meet with the Chiefs to discuss issues related to the community and the upcoming elections.
In addition, the president will commission the fourth distribution center for Fly Zipline, a medical supply delivery service that uses drones to transport drugs to places that are difficult to access; as well as launching the Cocoa Rehabilitation Program to boost cocoa production in the area.
On the same day as his working visit, the President will depart Sefwi Wiawso for Sefwi Akontombra to inspect a rice factory under the government’s District 1 Factory Initiative.
President Akufo-Addo will also cut grass for the construction of the Akontombra-Dadieso road and the cocoa station, culminating in a large durbar in Sefwi Akontombra to end his first day of visiting the region.
On the second day of his visit, September 25, the President will cut the grass for the construction of the Enchi to Elubo road and the inspection of the Feeder Roads office complex, after which the President will address the bosses and the town of Enchi in a durbar.
The President will leave for Dadieso, Bodi and Juaboso to inspect roads under construction and various ongoing projects in the constituency, respectively.
He will also mow grass for the Zoomlion Waste Processing Plant in the Juaboso constituency and end the day with a meeting with Regional Executives and Parliamentary Candidates.
The last day of the president’s visit will begin in Sefwi Wiawso with a live radio interview on Liberty 92.7 FM.
The president will then move to the Sefwi Wiawso market, where he will lay the groundwork for market expansion, after which he will head to Wiawso to inspect the ongoing construction of an SHS model in the Bibiani Anhwiaso Bekwai constituency.
The President will end his 3-day visit with the commissioning of a science lab at Queens Girls SHS in Anhwiaso and will conduct an inspection of work progress on the Bibiani City road project in Bibiani to culminate his tour of the north western region.
