The former secretary general of the New Patriotic Party (PNP) has urged Ghanaians to vote to renew the mandate of President Akufo-Addo on December 7, having kept his promises.
Mr. Kwabena Adjei Agyepong said that the president had shown resilience and prudent economic management, especially in the wake of Covid-19, with numerous interventions to improve the plight of citizens.
Addressing a durbar of Breku chiefs and people in Awutu-Senya-West, Agyepong said that President Akufo-Addo had been consistent in keeping all of his 2016 campaign promises to Ghanaians.
After touring the country with the president, the overwhelming welcome was a clear testimony to the massive support for President Akufo-Addo by Ghanaians on December 7, he stressed.
“Everywhere we have been, the signs are clear that the president has served his term. Be it infrastructure, schools, roads, water and whatever, ”said Mr. Agyepong.
“We have a president who is compassionate, competent, visionary, and a caring man of action, who works in the interest of all,” said the former PNP Secretary General.
Agyepong told the electorate to ignore the candidacy of former president John Dramani Mahama, saying he “has nothing new to offer.”
He said the Presidency was not meant to correct mistakes by erratic leaders, as President Mahama has been telling Ghanaians, that he would correct their mistakes if given a second chance.
Mr. Agyepong said that the Presidency was a place for serious business, not a kind of recovery to correct mistakes.
