NDC Communications Warrant Officer Kwaku Boahen has blamed President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo for the series of violence that has characterized the nation in recent times.
According to him, the president has regrettably failed Ghanaians as Commander-in-Chief of the Ghanaian Armed Forces.
He accused the president of exposing the country to danger and insecurity.
Speaking on UTV’s “Adekye Nsroma”, Kwaku Boahen stated that “the level of indiscipline under the Akufo-Addo government is too much. . . nothing is working under this administration because it has exposed the country to dangers, political insecurity, attacks and indiscipline ”.
For him, President Akufo-Addo has reduced governance to public ridicule.
Speaking in connection with the Dome-Faase incident, where some alleged ground guards beat two military officers, resulting in a strong military presence in the community, Kwaku Boahen said: “I think the army has its own leaders, so, Who sent them to shoot? ? Whether it was an official assignment or not, the military were not supposed to be in Dome-Faase to shoot the citizens. The question is, who sent them there?
“The law is emphatic about the duty of the Armed Forces but due to politics, the invisible and delta forces are now in military uniforms and are used to intimidate citizens. The level of indiscipline under this administration is too much and I blame the president, “he said.
Soldiers leave haunted community
Several soldiers who arrived in Dome-Faase, a community near Kasoa where two alleged soldiers had been brutally assaulted by residents, left the area.
His departure on Thursday follows a meeting between the Chief Executive Officer (MCE) of the Ga Sur Municipal Assembly, Mr. Joseph Stephen Nyarni, and the leadership of the soldiers deployed to the area.
The assaulted soldiers were said to have been sent to the community to protect a parcel of land that a chief claimed ownership of, but it sparked a clash between soldiers and residents.
According to a report by Accra-based Joy FM, soldiers left the area on Thursday afternoon, after recovering all weapons seized by community members during the clash.
