Akufo-Addo has brought ‘foreigner’ to Sefwi-Wiawso – supreme chief

The supreme chief of the traditional Sefwi area, Katakyire Kwasi Bumangama II, praised President Akufo-Addo for the rehabilitation of cocoa activities in the country.

Speaking at the launch ceremony of the Cocoa Rehabilitation Program in Sefwi Wiawso, he congratulated the President for the best initiatives implemented in the cocoa sector.

He congratulated the government for the implementation of several projects that include; manual pollination, introduction of cutters to prune and cut diseased cocoa trees.

“Nana Addo has brought overseas to Ghana and Sefwi Wiawso. Thank you, Nana ”, she affirmed.

In honor of the event, Akufo-Addo revealed that the government has already undertaken projects to develop the agricultural sector.

He reported, “11,564 hectares of farms affected by the swollen shot in the north and east western regions have been treated and planted with cocoa, banana and other inexpensive plants.

“Of the total agricultural land affected, 7,358 have fully recovered.”

The president assured that not a single farmer would be left out of the current compensation exercise.

“Any farmer whose farm has been affected by an inflamed injection will receive full payment,” he said.
