NDC campaign team spokesman James Agyenim Boateng has accused the current New Patriotic Party (NPP) administration, under the leadership of Nana Akufo-Addo, of “shamefully” taking down its infrastructure development tracker due to the exhibition of ghost projects.
According to him, the website has been withdrawn because several people have taken charge of the government for the replication of projects and also for the publication of non-existent projects.
On Tuesday, August 18, 2020, Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia surpassed what he described as a centralized portal that will allow Ghanaians to track infrastructure projects undertaken by the Akufo-Addo government.
In a virtual City Council meeting organized at the Academy of Arts and Sciences showing the infrastructure history of the nuclear power plant, he praised that Ghana is the only country in Africa that has launched such a website designed to capture and make easily accessible data on all your projects.
“To our knowledge, Ghana is the only country in Africa that has implemented this public access delivery tracker for its infrastructure projects. No other country has, “said Dr. Bawumia.
But speaking on Okay FM’s Ade Akye Abia morning show, James Agyenim Boateng claimed that 90 percent of the single-dam projects in a village that the Akufo-Addo government is proud of are not fit for purpose.
“And speaking of their infrastructure development tracker, can you see that they have taken it down because people are targeting projects that have been repeated multiple times on the tracker and also non-existent projects …
“A lot of people have been taking them. One of the things the government has been proud of is the single dam projects in a village and the Peasant Association is saying that 90 percent of the dams are not fit for purpose, ”he criticized.
His comment is based on the fact that President Akufo-Addo, during his tour of the Ashanti region, accused NDC presidential candidate John Dramani Mahama of being inconsistent with his promises, especially at Free Senior High School ( SHS). Program.
Furthermore, earlier this week, Dr. Bawumia also called on Ghanaians not to entrust the future of the country in the hands of the former president, who “incompetently leads the economy into a pit.”
In response to these comments, the NDC Campaign Team Spokesperson chided Akufo-Addo-Bawumia for failing to deliver on his numerous campaign promises and instead seeking to call the black boiler. He took the opportunity to highlight development projects that the next NDC government intends to focus on.
“John Dramani Mahama is very focused on his campaign without paying attention to the distractions of Akufo-Addo and Dr. Bawumia and if you are talking about a president who has not delivered, a president who could not keep his promises, then he is the president. Akufo-Addo and his vice president, Dr. Bawumia. I was hoping to hear you catalog what you have done for this country. This is a government that has not complied and they do not have any plan for the country …
“… the next Mahama government will complete all the infrastructure projects that have been abandoned by the Akufo-Addo administration and will build blocks of classrooms and dormitories in existing schools to end the dual track system for all students can go to school simultaneously.
“… the Mahama government will also establish the Cashew Development Board in the cocoa equivalent to manage cashew problems in the country,” pontificated James Agyenim Boateng.
