The former National First Vice President of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Anita Desoso, has said that President-elect Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo is destroying the country’s democracy with a woman.
The women’s wing of the Democratic National Congress (NDC) led by the National Organizer for Women, Dr. Hannah Louisa Bissiw, on Tuesday, December 15, 2020, held a street demonstration to protect the results of the December 7, 2020 elections .
In an interview with Ahotor FM monitored by MyNewsGh.com, Anita Desoso, who was part of the protest, said that women beat in the street because the president intentionally brought Jean Mensa as chairman of the Electoral Commission to destroy the country’s democracy .
“Akufo-Addo is using a woman to destroy our democracy and the peace of this country, therefore, women must protest to show him that he is going the wrong way. Akufo-Addo intentionally brought Jean Mensa to destroy our democracy, ”said Anita Desoso.
He stressed that they will continue to protest until justice is served and democracy is restored to the nation.
The women through the protest called on the EC to let the votes of the people of Ghana who voted for the NDC count and for peace to prevail in the country.
According to them, they were protesting against what they described as the theft in broad daylight by the EC in favor of the PNP.
