President Akufo-Addo has assured Ghanaians that they will work with all stakeholders to protect the peace of the country after the December 7 elections.
The president believes that looking beyond party affiliations is one of the main avenues in which this feat can be accomplished.
He made this comment at the New Patriotic Party (NPP) national thanksgiving service to culminate his campaign in the recently completed polls.
The celebration saw that gathering from the top of the hierarchy on the esplanade of the State House in Accra.
Speaking at Sunday’s event, he also expressed his commitment to properly carry out the mandate given to him by the electorate through the polls.
“I want to thank the people of Ghana for maintaining their confidence in the leadership of our nation,” he said Sunday.
Furthermore, he told the meeting that his quest for national progress will be comprehensive, regardless of political differences.
“I also want to assure the 6.2 million people who did not vote for me that I will have their interest at heart and in mind in everything I do,” he explained.
The president also expressed his appreciation to the party at all levels that worked to ensure that the party rose to the top in the recently completed polls.
President Akufo-Addo will be sworn in on January 7, 2021, to lead him to a second term in charge of the country’s affairs.
