Ghana’s Freedom Party standard-bearer Akua Donkor has been seen in a new video congratulating Akufo-Addo on winning the 2020 presidential election.

In a video seen by YEN.com.gh on Facebook, Madam Akua Donkor was seen at the Nima residence of President Akufo-Addo.

According to the account of Mr. Eugene Arhin, Director of Communications for the Presidency, Ms. Akua Donkor had come to the Akufo-Addo residence to personally congratulate him.

She was seen chatting with President Akufo-Addo in his study as the nation awaits the declaration of the presidential election from the Election Commission.

Before Akua Donkor’s visit, Ghana Liberal Party (LPG) presidential candidates Percival Kofi Akpaloo and Great Consolidated People’s Party (GCPP) Dr. Henry Lartey also admitted defeat in the 2020 elections.

The two candidates, according to a number of reports, called the New Patriotic Party standard-bearer and current Ghanaian president Nana Akufo-Addo to congratulate him on winning the election.

The presidential candidate of the Ghana Trade Union Movement (GUM), Reverend Christian Kwabena Andrews, has reportedly conceded the defeat to President Nana Akufo-Addo.

According to Eugene Arhin, Communications Director for the Presidency, the GUM flag bearer has already congratulated Akufo-Addo.

In a post on his Facebook page, Arhin revealed that the Rev. Andrews, popularly known as Osofo Kyiri Abosom, “had just called President Akufo-Addo to congratulate him on his election victory.”
