The deputy for Assin Central, Kennedy Agyapong, has drawn the venom of Assin Akroso’s boss, Nana Kwabena Ofori ll, for accusing the traditional leader of receiving gifts from the presidential candidate of the main opposition Democratic National Congress (NDC), Mr. John Mahama , to the detriment of development projects in your area.
The chief is angry with the legislator for making the remarks during the campaign launch of Mr. George Kwame Aboagye (Oluwa), MP for the Asene Manso Akroso constituency on Sunday 8 August 2020.
Agyapong, at the event, also accused the boss of taking a Land Cruiser from Mahama in 2016.
He said: “We have bosses, who are involved in politics and have the right to decide which candidate they want and I have no problem with that, but if the boss here has a problem with the PNP campaign here, ask yourselves. : Does he feed any of you?
“Is he the one who pays the free SHS for his children?” Mr. Agyapong asked.
He declared: “We are not afraid of anything”, adding: “If you are a boss, bring development to your people …”
In his opinion, “anyone who tells you to vote for the NDC does not wish you well …”
“In 2016, Mr. Mahama was giving Land Cruisers to bosses and the boss here had one. They shared Land Cruisers but didn’t win … “
However, in a strong rebuttal, Nana Kwabena Ofori ll denied the accusations and had some harsh words for Agyapong.
“I’m a boss, so I welcome all parties and speak well of them.
“So if a party has been here and I welcomed it, it doesn’t mean it is a member of that party,” he said.
According to him, “Since Nana Akufo-Addo won the presidency, have you been brought to visit me before? Since 2012, has Akufo-Addo visited me before? “
“So if another party has visited me, shouldn’t I welcome it?”
“Kennedy Agyapong is shallow-minded,” said the chief, stating, “All he does is insult women.”
“I dare to be put together on a platform and I will beat him like my son,” said the angry boss in an interview with Class News regional correspondent Kwame Appiah-Kubi.
