As part of the measures being implemented by the opposition Democratic National Congress to monitor the voter registration exercise from start to finish, the party’s National Organizer Joshua Hamidu Akamba has issued a directive to all candidates and members of Parliament in his Parliament to ensure its effectiveness.
Akamba urges you to keep an eagle eye throughout the registration exercise that will take place on October 1.
“Following the voter registration scheduled by the Electoral Commission on Thursday, October 1, 2020, all parliamentary candidates and acting members of Parliament were recommended to personally get involved and serve as party agents based on the intelligence gathered,” he emphasized the directive.
This information was communicated to the PCs and MPs in a special wireless notification issued by the NDC National Organizer to all Regional Presidents and Organizers.
In accordance with the directives, in any case where the PCs / MPs are not personally available, they must delegate any of the following persons to represent them as agents in their respective District Office for the exercise; President of the constituency, Secretary of the constituency, Organizer of the constituency and Director of the election of the constituency.
He also emphasized the importance of informing before the beginning of the year and staying attentive throughout the process for the Day’s End Report.
