Aidoo and Attamah Lawerh arrive at the camp

Defenders Joseph Aidoo and Joseph Attamah Lawerh arrived at the Black Stars camp this afternoon ahead of Ghana’s clash with Sudan in the 2021 African Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament playoffs.

Faced in Group C of the qualifying rounds, Ghana occupies the top spot in the standings after victories against South Africa and São Tomé and Príncipe.

In this international hiatus, the West African powerhouse is scheduled to face Sudan in a two-legged tie in the space of 5 days.

Today the Ghana team got a big boost with the arrival of Celta de Vigo defender Joseph Aidoo and Kayserispor defensive midfielder Joseph Attamah Lawerh.

With the couple’s arrival at camp, the roster number has risen to 20 and 3 more players are expected to arrive tonight.

According to the team schedule, the players will train for the last time tonight at Cape Coast Stadium before taking on Sudan for the first of two matches on Thursday at 4:00 PM GMT.
