The chiefs of the Ahafo region have declared their unwavering support for President Nana Akufo-Addo, in his bid to secure a second term.
The chiefs of Duayaw Nkwanta, Techimantia, Bechem and Kenyasi made this known on Saturday in separate durbars that they celebrated in honor of the president when he visited their villages on the first day of his two-day tour of the Ahafo region.
In Duayaw Nkwanta, the Supreme Head of the Duayaw Nkwanta Traditional Council, Nana Boakye Tromo III, told the president: “You have distributed the national cake fairly and we in Duayaw Nkwanta have obtained our fair share of development.”
Citing various examples of projects undertaken in Duayaw Nkwanta, along with policies such as Free SHS, 1-District-1-Factory and the Planting for Food and Employment program, Nana Boakye Tromo III stated that “this clearly shows that it has been chosen by God to guide us. “
He continued: “I want you to know that we are solidly behind you. We are told that bosses must not get involved in partisan politics. However, there comes a time when you have to help the person who helps you in time of need. We are solidly behind you, and today we declare ‘four more for Nana’, ‘four more to do more.’
Techimantia
At Techimantia, after President Akufo-Addo cut the grass for the construction of the 40.1 km Bechem-Techimantia-Akomadan road, Krontihene, Nana Ampong Koromantan, he prayed to God for a long life, good health and strength to President.
“Today, we just want to tell you that we, at Techimantia, will never forget you because of the construction of the Bechem-Techimantia-Akomadan highway. In fact, the presence of many citizens in this durbar shows that we have already accepted you as one of us. There are four more for you, “he added.
Bechem
In commissioning a Business Resource Center for the Southern District of Tano, Bechemanhene, Nana Fosu Gyeabuor II expressed the gratitude of the chiefs and people of Bechem for the Center built by the President and his Government.
“Very soon, we will go to the polls, and if you look at this beautiful building, Bechem residents don’t need to be told what to do. It depends on them. They know what to do, ”he said.
Referring to the president’s lawn mowing ceremony for the construction of the Bechem-Techimantia-Akomadan highway, he added that “I know he will do it because he keeps his promises.”
Kenya
In Kenyasi, where the president commissioned a 68-bed ward, physician accommodation and children’s ward at the Kenyasi Government Hospital, Nana Kofi Abiri, Omanhene de Kenyasi No 1, recounted how, during the president’s last visit to her city , He appealed for the construction of various services for the community.
“We begged him to build the road for us and we also needed a TVET institute. He did not ignore our requests as we can see machines building the road. We also said that we needed a mobile phone network in Wamahiniso, you have done it for us, we are grateful ”, he said.
Kenyasi Chief No. 1 added that “Nana, since you took office, you have helped in our development, many of the young people are employed, when you look at the Free SHS that you implemented, you have helped the poor. Thank you Ghanaians.
