Aduana Stars fought back to defeat the Accra Grand Olympics 2-1 in week 7 of the current Ghana Premier League.
Both teams had opportunities to break the stalemate, but couldn’t find the last touch when referee Isaac Osei stopped the first half.
The great Olympics came back from recess with the same determination they showed in the first verse, but they couldn’t make it count on the score sheet.
Annor Walker’s team finally found their scoring boots after star forward Samuel Ashie-Quaye scored in the 51st minute.
The advantage, however, did not last as Aduana Stars responded quickly through the imported Congolese Flavien Jean Kongaza five minutes later.
Customs Stars became the game from there as they dictated the pace with clever play.
All hell broke loose in Dormaa in the 78th minute after referee Osei awarded the hosts a penalty.
Talisman of Aduana Stars, Yahaya Mohammed stepped in to bury the resulting penalty.
Customs has accumulated ten (10) points out of a possible twelve (12) at home against the Accra giants.
Customs currently occupies eighth position with 10 points, while the Olympic Games are only two places above them with 11 points from 7 matches.
