Ghanaian defender Abraham Akwasi Frimpong is happy after securing UEFA Champions League qualification with Hungarian Ferencvarosi.
The central defender was in good shape on both legs as the Hungarian champions defeated Norwegian Molde on the away goal rule.
The tie ended 3-3 on aggregate and the Hungarians won a ticket to the group stage of the competition.
Frimpong said he was satisfied with what Ferencvarosi has achieved and that his focus now would be how to make a big impact in Europe’s biggest club competition.

“I am very happy with our performance, we have played in the Europa League for a couple of years and now we have reached the Champions League. Our journey was not easy, we beat Djurgården, Celtic, Dinamo Zagreb and defeated Molde after drawing 3-3 away and goalless at home, ”said Frimpong. Graphic sports online.
“Now the focus will be on doing everything possible in the Champions League, we have a great squad and we believe in ourselves. We know we can do it. “
The 27-year-old Frimpong has been one of Ghana’s most consistent players in Europe for the past several years having played for clubs, including Serbian teams Napredak Kruševac of Serbia and Red Star Belgrade, though he has yet to win a call-up for Black Stars.
He previously played for the Italian Vicenza youth team and was voted best player at the 2009 Romeo y Julieta youth tournament in Italy.
