North Tongu constituency deputy Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa has announced his intention to offer financial compensation later this month (September) to the 150 workers at Mushamat Farms.

The 150 workers of the farm that is located in their constituency were laid off in May 2020, due to the adverse economic impact of COVID-19.

In a post shared on his Facebook page, he visited the farm, where he socialized with some of the workers.

However, he encouraged the 379 workers at the banana export plantation who continue to work tirelessly in challenging conditions to keep the company afloat during these difficult times.

Ablakwa called on everyone to remember the plight of the less fortunate workers of the pandemic era and reach out to them when they can.
