Former Ghana and Kotoko midfielder Yussif Alhassan Chibsah praised center back Abdul Ganiyu Ismael for his tremendous performance against South Africa in Johannesburg last Thursday.
Kotoko’s highly rated defender lasted the entire duration of the Black Stars who held the Bafana Bafanas to a 1-1 draw at FNB Stadium in the playoffs by reserving his ticket to AFCON 2021 in Cameroon.
The 24-year-old has been acclaimed and received a series of recognitions by the Ghanaians for having shone in his debut with the senior team and was one of the few local players who were part of coach CK Akonnor’s team heading into that I find it crisp.
With this, FIFA licensed soccer agent Yussif Chibsah, in an interview with Kumasi-based Nhyira FM, has also praised the former Karela United point guard stating that he has indeed made a very strong case in the Black Stars. For the local players and declared hard work, everyone can get there and play like he did in Johannesburg a few days ago.
“Ganiyu made a clear case for local players. This shows that local players will be able to fight for positions when given a fair chance in the senior team.”
“Some of us play the Black Stars as local players and Ganiyu has affirmed that. It takes a lot of work. Ganiyu and Abalora have shown that some local guys can compete.”
Yussif Alhassan Chibsah is currently a soccer player intermediary and the founder of the Consult Africa Club, of which he has the majority of Ghanaian footballers under his direction, notably Majeed Waris, Kwame Bonsu, Winful Cobbinah, etc.
