The incumbent Member of Parliament for Effiduase-Asokore from the Ashanti region, Dr. Nana Ayew Afriyie, has launched a campaign to secure the largest number of votes in the 90 districts of the district.
In launching his campaign for the 2020 general election, he said that his campaign team is committed to running a house-to-house campaign to win votes not only for himself, but also for the PNP.
He urged party supporters gathered at the launch of his campaign to work hard to ensure that the PNP and Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo remain after the December 7, 2020 elections.
Dr. Ayew Afriyie was hired as a deputy by delegates during the NPP congress in June.
He obtained 332 votes out of a total of 427 votes cast.
His contender, Kwame Adom Appiah, got just 68 votes.
