The Black Queens tactic has invited 30 players for their team’s friendly next month against the North Africans in Accra

Ghana’s female coach Mercy Tagoe has invited 30 players to an international friendly against Morocco in Accra next month.

The Black Queens will play for the first time since their participation in the 2020 Turkey Women’s Cup in Alanya in March following the lockdown as a result of the coronavirus pandemic.

With the West Africans scheduled to host their North African opponents, Coach Tagoe has appointed a 30-woman team, comprised of 29 local professionals and a foreign player.

Alberta Ahialey, who last played for the Portuguese Atlético de Ouriense, was the only professional abroad on the team.

According to the Ghana Football Association (GFA), invited players are expected to resume camp at the GFA Technical Center (GSCE), Prampram on Thursday and, upon arrival, will undergo mandatory Covid-19 testing.

The Tagoe ladies are scheduled to face the Atlas Lionesses senior on November 30 at Accra Sports Stadium.

Juliet Acheampong, Janet Egyir, Mary Essiful, Philicity Asuako and Rita Okyere were among the 13 local players who participated in the Turkish tournament in March and were also invited to the Morocco clash.

The Ghana team hopes to finish the year on a winning note to boost their rankings.
