Norway’s friendly clash with Israel on November 9 was canceled after Galatasaray side Omar Elabdellaoui tested positive for Covid-19.
The entire Norwegian team was then required to self-isolate according to the Norwegian health authorities guidelines.
Lars Largerback’s players were denied permission to fly to Bucharest for the UEFA Nations League clash with Romania.
The double header with Romania and Austria has now been canceled as a result of the situation, with all the players returning to their clubs.
According to Marca reports, Odegaard has now landed back in Madrid, but according to Norwegian public health regulations he cannot come out of self-isolation until Sunday, November 22.
Zinedine Zidane’s team is back in action against Villarreal 24 hours prior and the club will look to provide the two mandatory negative PCR tests to ensure that he can play Unai Emery’s team.
