Ofori collected a second card in the playoffs during Ghana’s 2-0 win over Sudan in Cape Coast last week, which culminated in a suspension.

In a statement, the Ghana Football Association (GFA) said Fatau will join the Black Stars team that will travel to Sudan on Sunday.

“Legon Cities goalkeeper Fatau Dauda has been called up to replace Richard Ofori for the trip to Sudan.” He said.

“The Orlando Pirates goalkeeper picked up his second yellow card in Thursday’s tie against Sudan at Cape Coast Stadium and ruled it out for the second leg in Khartoum.

“Fatau therefore gets the go-ahead to travel with the team for the reverse match scheduled for Omdurman, Khartoum, on Tuesday, November 17, 2020. The Black Stars left Accra on Sunday afternoon for Sudan.”

Meanwhile, Ghana is currently atop Group C of the 2021 AFCON Playoffs with nine points from three games.
