Four new # Covid-19 deaths, 55 new recoveries reported

The Ghana Health Service reported four new deaths from # Covid-19, bringing the deaths to 22.

Saturday’s latest update also has 251 new cases, mostly from the Greater Accra region, bringing the national cumulative count to 4,263 and 378 recoveries. The previous count had the national total at 4,012 and recoveries of 323.

Meanwhile, the Ghana Health Service urges continued adherence to health and safety protocols to reduce the spread of the disease.

The protocols include the following calls;

  • Stay at home; Observe social distancing; Avoid handshake
  • Wash your hands frequently with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.
  • Cover your cough or sneeze with a disposable tissue, throw it away in a closed container, and then wash your hands.
  • Always wear a mask, especially if you have to leave home
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth.
  • Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects or surfaces, such as remote controls and door knobs.
  • Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
