National Security officials in Ho arrested leaders of a group allegedly trying to scam customers of missing banks in Ho and search unsuspecting customers.
Officers from PBAY Limited had set up a camp on the Assemblies of God Church premises in Ho and attracted thousands of desperate customers whose funds had been blocked.
A bowl was being passed around the church hall asking customers to contribute as much as they could for electricity.
A form that they were being forced to fill out said that two percent of the recovered funds would be deducted.
Two leaders of the group have been arrested and one identified as Charles Nyame.
The two have been taken to the headquarters of the Municipal Police for questioning.
Deputy Superintendent of Police, Mr. Alex Yeboah, in charge of Ho Township, confirmed the arrest and revealed that statements are being taken from the suspects.
