Action Chapel International Presiding Archbishop and General Overseer Nicholas Duncan-Williams has paid an enthusiastic tribute to the late former President Jerry John Rawlings.

He said the former president always put Ghana above him.

“I will remember him for putting Ghana first. Now is the time to focus on the good you did and the contributions you made, to extend forgiveness and grace where you didn’t. He himself deeply regretted it. The best contribution we can all make to his legacy is to come together as Ghanaians and put the country first: building together as citizens of a community rather than peoples divided by parties and tribes. We should worry less about self-expansion and the things that divide us, as he did, ”Duncan Williams wrote in a statement issued on Friday, November 13, 2020.

Jerry John Rawlings passed away on Thursday, November 12, 2020, at Korle Bu University Hospital, where he was receiving treatment after a brief illness.

He died at the age of 73.
