Although not official, Joe Biden, leader of the Democrats in the United States of America, has been elected president number 46.
This follows his 20 electoral vote victory in Pennsylvania, which brought him ahead of incumbent President Donald Trump.
Messages of congratulations, from all over the world, including the leaders of other countries, for the past few hours, have been pouring in.
So far, UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson, French President Emmanuel Macron, and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau are among the first to send their congratulatory messages to US President-elect Joseph Robinette. Biden Jr.
Back here in Ghana, many social media users are delighted with the great change in the political scene in the United States. Following the popular quote “if America sneezes, Africa catches cold”, some Ghanaians have managed to link the new American political change to the upcoming December elections in Ghana.
Furthermore, while several Twitter users have found only another avenue to have fun on Twitter, others have managed to put President Donald Trump in a bind.
Below is a compilation of some Twitter reactions to Biden’s win to distract you;

George Bush Sr. lost the elections as president of the United States in 1992, that is, after serving since 1989 as president of one term.
Their defeat led to Ghana and the United States sharing the fate since 1993. Democrats – NDC: Republicans – NPP
December 7 will show if Ghana and the United States still share the same fate ???? pic.twitter.com/ARfbn0SuWh
