Arsenal captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang applauded Ghanaian superstar Thomas Partey for his contributions on and off the field.
The Black Stars deputy captain has been an instant hit since joining the Gunners on the day of the € 45 million transfer deadline.
Partey was declared Man of the Match in last weekend’s Premier League match against Manchester United when Arsenal recorded their first win at Old Trafford in 14 years.
The former Atlético de Madrid midfielder has impressed since joining the club and has played four games in all competitions.
Gabon International has praised Partey for his contributions and personality to the team.
“Off the court, he is a very humble guy and you can see that on the court as well because he really gives everything in the game.
“It is really simple and calm, very humble, and we all like it very much.
“He’s also a lot of fun, sometimes he makes a few jokes and we don’t expect it. So he set up very quickly.
“On the field, his strengths are his energy and the way he can stop counterattacks and dangerous situations. That is really important to us.
“I think he locked up three of the Manchester United midfielders on Sunday, that’s my point of view anyway, and that’s really important to us.”
“He can also play very well forward when he gets the ball back and that’s a good point for us.”
