Tottenham Hotspur got back on track to victory in the UEFA Europa League with a 3-1 win over Ludogorets Razgrad on Thursday night.
Goals from Harry Kane, his 200th with the club in 300 appearances, and Lucas Moura put the Premier League team in a good position to secure all three points, and after a goal from Claudiu Keseru that helped threaten the comeback , Giovani Lo Celso’s second -half goal sealed the deal.

If there was a word that could be used to describe this performance, it would be “suffocating.” Tottenham were on the underdogs like a rash and they were constantly forcing trouble, even when the scoring looked quite comfortable. They didn’t take their foot off the gas and that led to a really professional start.

There were definitely times when the Ludogorets were given the freedom to advance through the midfield, and while they rarely had the quality needed to punish the Spurs for that, it was a sign of overconfidence that could have come back to haunt the visitors. They also lacked the killer instinct they needed to really put the result to bed, and as such, the scoreboard flattered their opponents a bit.

8 – José Mourinho was much more animated than usual on the touchline, and when you combine that with the offensive starting eleven he threw, it was clear that he wanted a quick start to banish the memory of the Antwerp defeat. He prepared the team well, made changes to keep the players in shape over the weekend, and stood his ground against a possible comeback.

GK Joe Hart, 6 years old – The former England international could have come off his line quicker for the goal, but he made some good saves to make up for it and was a commanding presence between the posts overall.
DF Matt Doherty, 7 years old – He controlled his side of the field very well, performed well in both halves of the field and was very complete from the first minute to the last.
DF Toby Alderweireld, 7 – He served as a reassuring veteran influence on the defense on a relatively quiet night for the Belgian.
DF Eric Dier, 5 years While he attacked the corners well and held his ground for long periods, it can be argued that he should have reacted faster for Ludogorets’ goal.
DF Ben Davies, 7 – He seemed pretty confident going into the last third and kept his composure.
MF Moussa Sissoko, 5 – Despite recovering the ball on a few occasions, Sissoko’s overall contributions were minimal and his passing was questionable.

MF Harry Winks, 7 – He produced one of his most positive Spurs performances in a long time with really positive momentum in his game, as highlighted by a great second-minute pass to Kane.
MF Giovani Lo Celso, 8 – He fought hard, added real creativity in every available moment, and grabbed a well-deserved goal to end the game as a competition.
FW Gareth Bale, 7 – The Welshman fell deeply and was pulling strings across the field, culminating with a skillful pass to help set up Tottenham’s second of the night.
FROM Lucas Moura, 7 – In addition to a good swing center that set up Kane’s first goal, Moura managed to reach the back post for a tap-in to make it 2-0.
DEL Harry Kane, 8 – Tottenham’s talisman was a constant danger, marking his 300th appearance for the club with his 200th goal. He also posted an assist in an effective 45 minutes on the pitch.

MF Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, 7 – He was able to shine once again with his crisp passing, good vision, and solid positioning in both midfield and kickback.
MF Steven Bergwijn, 6 years old – He appeared active when introduced and came close to scoring with a low shot just seconds after his arrival.
MF Tanguy Ndombele, N / A – It provided the Spurs with another fresh pair of legs, but it didn’t do much to alter the pace of the game.
ST Carlos Vinicius, 5 – He worked hard to find opportunities for himself, but wasted his best attempt of the game by shooting in the 53rd minute.
FW Son Heung-min, 7 – He carried the ball forward brilliantly, positioned himself in several great positions and collected an assist with his first touch of the game just seconds after entering.
