Chelsea ready to sanction loan deal by Emerson Palmieri
According to Area Napoli via Sport Witness (h / t Football.london), Chelsea are set to approve a loan deal for Emerson Palmieri.
The most likely destination appears to be Serie A Napoli. The player is also keen to pass the Italian giants in what he sees as an opportunity to redeem himself.
However, it remains to be seen if it will happen. Emerson is eager for a salary increase compared to the salaries he receives at Chelsea.
Napoli are not the only team interested in Emerson. Juventus, the Serie A champions, is also interested in securing the defender’s services.
The Italian international failed to make a mark at the club last season. He appeared to be dating, with several clubs in the fray for his signature.
Emerson did not move and stayed at the club. One of the main reasons for this could be the fight between Frank Lampard and Marcos Alonso.
With the arrival of Ben Chilwell, Emerson has largely confined himself to peripheral appearances. Of his three appearances this season, two have been in the Carabao Cup.

However, Emerson could find himself ahead of Marcos Alonso in the pecking order. It remains to be seen if the Blues intend to bring the Spaniard back into the fray before lending to Emerson.
Given his peripheral importance at Chelsea, moving to Serie A would give him more opportunities to play. With the Eurocup to be played next summer, it would surely help in his case to be selected for the Italian team.
