Vice President Dr. Mahamud Bawumia says the government led by Nana Akufo-Addo has employed 90,000 health personnel during its first term.

He said the government also streamlined the National Health Insurance scheme to make it more viable and attractive.

Dr. Bawumia made these remarks when he commissioned a three-story block of classrooms for the Anhwiaso College of Health Sciences in Bibiani, Anhwiaso, Bekwai Constituency, as part of his two-day North West Region tour.

The vice president said that the many tangible achievements of the PNP government make it more imperative for Ghanaians to vote for the Akufo-Addo government in the December general elections so that they can do even more for them.

Ogyeahoho Yaw Gyebi II, the Omanhen of the traditional Anhwiaso area, praised the government for fulfilling its campaign promise to create the North West and five other regions.

He also thanked the Vice President for the Plantation for Food and Employment policy, which has greatly improved the country’s food security, as well as the increase in cocoa prices for cocoa producers despite the drop in world cocoa prices.

The NPP parliamentary candidate for the Bibiani Anhwiaso Bekwai constituency, Mr. Alfred Obeng Boateng, said that looking at the achievements of the NPP government thus far, it was not out of place to ask Ghanaians to retain the party in power to keep up the good works. .

“Vote for Nana Addo as president and vote for me as her deputy, and together we will continue to bring her the best of developments,” he said.
