Ashanti Regional Minister Simon Osei-Mensah has admitted that the former administration led by John Dramani Mahama deserves some credit for its contributions to the Kumasi airport.

Although he indicated that the airport cannot be classified as ‘international’, the previous administration, he said, facilitated the processes by which it is currently being modernized so that it meets the status of an international airport.

“I’ll give you some credit. You know I’m fair They initiated the credit agreement in Parliament for approval. There were also eight conditions precedent that they (NDC) fulfilled four remaining four, but we started the whole construction process ”, he said on Nhyira FM monitored by MyNewsGh.com

“The beautiful you can see that is underway now is what will make it a true international airport. Once we have completed it, you can fly from Kumasi to France, London, USA … as we call the international airport, ”he told Papa Nyameke on the Kro Yi Mu Nsem shoe.
