The Ridge Hospital, or Greater Accra Regional Hospital, has released the names of the deceased that it intends to bury en masse because their bodies have not been claimed by close family members or friends.
The list of 49 people was published in the state newspaper Daily Graphic.
According to a report in the newspaper, the hospital authorities explain that the bodies “have been in their morgue for more than nine months.”
The hospital says it will proceed to bury the bodies if they remain unclaimed within three weeks of publication on Monday, November 2, 2020.
“The notice signed by the Hospital’s Medical Director, Dr. Emmanuel K. Srofenyoh said: ‘Relatives of the deceased should contact the hospital morgue officials to claim the bodies of their relatives for burial with immediate effect. ‘”Reports the newspaper. .
