Frank Lampard urges Chelsea stars to stand firm despite Burnley’s win
According to The Express, Chelsea manager Frank Lampard has urged his players to stand their ground despite the victory over Burnley.
The Blues got off to a bad start even before the ball was kicked. Star winger Christian Pulisic had to be replaced by Timo Werner after the former injured his hamstring in warm-up.
Despite that, the Blues achieved a dominant 3-0 victory, with Werner also on the roster.
“I’m not going to jump up and down after a win like this, but it was a really positive day.”
The Blues are taking shape and a sustained run of good results will help us mount a title challenge.
Chelsea looks solid both in the front and in the back. In fact, after another clean sheet, we’ve now seen our best clean sheet run since Lampard’s appointment.
Aside from Werner, Edouard Mendy, and Hakim Ziyech, the likes of Reece James, Mason Mount, and Tammy Abraham are improving their game. This comes at a crucial moment with the season that is now beginning to take shape.
It was a night in which the new Chelsea signings once again showed all the commotion surrounding their arrival. Lampard believes that building relationships will have a huge impact on how our season progresses.
“That’s part of the process when we bring in new players who have to feel for each other. Not just what I saw, but their relationships on the field. “
The victory leaves us only four points off the top of the table. As long as we stay within reach of the summit, we cannot be ruled out.

Turf Moor is a difficult stadium for rival teams to get a result. The ease with which we handle it is a testament to the growth of the team.
Hopefully, this is just the beginning of things to come.
