Independent presidential candidate Kwame Aseidu Walker has said he would support those in need with his salary as president if he came to power on December 7.

Walker said his administration will also focus on community development and sanitation when elected.

“I will not collect my salary as president of Ghana when I am elected to power. I will use that salary to support those in need such as the elderly, the disabled, women, ”he said.

The independent presidential candidate made the remarks on the first day of his campaign tour of the Ashaiman constituency in the Greater Accra region.

He promised to create more sustainable jobs to grow the local economy and said he would not legalize the commercial use of motorcycles (Okada).

“… Okada for commercial purposes will cause more accidents, so instead of legalizing Okada, I prefer to create jobs for the masses.

“I know how men suffer … so I’m going to end poverty,” Walker added.

On sanitation, he said Ghana needed proper planning to ensure environmental cleanliness, adding that it is an independent candidate with an independent agenda.
