Yidana Sulemana Mohammed Awal (Waterz), an award-winning Ghanaian writer who hails from the same city as Ghana’s Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia, has endorsed former President John Mahama ahead of the December 7 elections.

This is a huge surprise as many Ghanaians still cling to tribal affiliations when it comes to choosing a political figure.

Information obtained directly from Yidana indicates that he was a great critic of the John Mahama administration because, at the time, Mahama seemed like a non-interpreter to him.

As for the December 2020 general election, Waterz Yidana has clearly proclaimed that he would vote for John Mahama and has also urged all his followers and friends on Facebook to do the same.

Waterz is a powerful writer who has received multiple literary awards and also won the 2019 40under40 award along with the fact that the University of Ghana adopted one of his works for its Department of Theater Arts.
