Senior Executives to be inducted into the Ghana Corporate Hall of Fame

Some of the heavyweights of the business community will be honored Friday night at the second Ghana Corporate Hall of Fame Awards at the Marriott Hotel in Airport City, Accra.

A flagship forum of top executives in thriving business sectors across the country, it provides a platform for members to contribute individually and collectively to the growth of corporate Ghana, through the exchange of knowledge and experiences with critical trade associations such as the Foundation. Private Enterprise (PEF), the Ghana Industry Association (AGI), the Ghana Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GNCCI), as well as other public policy makers and implementers.

Friday’s event will be held on the theme “Linking Ghana’s Business Community to Ghana Beyond Aid”. It will feature personalities such as the first vice president of Parliament and deputy for Bekwai, Joseph Osei-Owusu; the Secretary General of the Organization for African Trade Union Unity, Mr. Arekzi Mezhaud; and the Commissioner General of the Ghana Tax Authority, Mr. Ammishaddai Owusu-Amoah.

Led by GIPC Chairman of the Board, Mr. Kwasi Abeasi, the Corporate Ghana Hall of Fame Awards recognize and celebrate the professional achievements of prominent members of the corporate community.

Some of the Maidens inducted into the Ghana Corporate Hall of Fame

Notable personalities to be inducted into the Ghana Corporate Hall of Fame include Mr. Sampson Kwaku Boafo (Chairman of the Board of the Minerals Commission), Mr. Alex Kwaku Korankye (Chairman of the Development Authority of the Middle Belt), Mr. Kwabena Obeng (Watch-and-Dine Cine), the Rev. Ismaila Hansmittson Awudu (National Road Safety Commission), Dr. Ernest Ofori Sarpong (Special Ice) and Mr. Hayssam Fakhry ( Interplast Ghana).

Others include Prof. Christopher Ameyaw-Akumfi (Ghana Infrastructure Investment Fund), Mr Mukesh V. Thakwani (B5 Plus), Mr Kwaku Awortwi (VRA Board), Mr Daniel McKorley (McDan Group), Mr Michael Gyapah (G4S Security), Mr Robert Kutin (Allship Logistics Limited and Ghana Maritime Authority), Mr Stephen Ayesu Ntim (Land Commission), Mr Frank Herbert Davis (DVLA) and Dr Gladys Norley Ashitey (National Population Council).

The unveiling of the Hall of Fame saw corporate titans such as Mr. Abeasi, Mr. Talal Fattal (CEO of Caesar’s Court and former CEO of Metro TV), Dr. Alex Anyah of Holy Trinity Medical Center, Mr. Roman Krabel from the Accra City Hotel, Mr. Aheto Abiola Tsegah from Unicom Chemist and Mr. Bernard M. Joseph from Sunshine Healthcare Limited joined the exclusive class.
