Dennis Amfo-Sefah, president of the Tema West Nuclear Power Plant, described as cheap propaganda claims by minority leader Haruna Iddrissu that President Akufo-Addo and his government are not providing adequate care to the people who gave positive for Coronavirus.

In a statement copied to the Ghana News Agency in Accra, Mr. Amfo-Sefah, popularly known as Nana Boakye, was particularly offended that such aspects of the Minority Leader’s claim said that the government primarily provided these patients with vitamin C and abandoned them. to his destiny.

“That is definitely cheap. Anyone who has followed the Covid-19 trend in Ghana knows that the government has been providing the best care not only to patients, but also to foreigners who were placed in mandatory quarantine.

“If we weren’t in this country, even Nigerians and other quarantined citizens in 5-star hotels filmed videos of rich food and luxury accommodation provided to them and lamented that even their own home countries cannot provide even a fraction of the same level of care? So how are we supposed to believe Haruna Iddrissu when he says that President Akufo-Addo only provides patients with vitamin C and abandons them? Nana Boakye asked.

According to him, the minority leader’s claim is the result of despair that President Akufo-Addo had become more popular due to his handling of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Haruna Iddrissu addressed a press conference in Parliament on Thursday, where she claimed the increase in Covid-19 cases in Ghana was due to President Akufo-Addo’s mishandling of the pandemic.

According to him, Ghana’s workload, which quickly increased to 3,091 with 18 deaths, was the president’s fault because he acted slowly to block the country, rushed to lift the partial blockade on Greater Kumasi and Greater Accra, and has also been providing very poor quality. caring for sick people.

Answering questions after his press conference, Haruna Iddrissu claimed that in some cases the Akufo-Addo government was providing only vitamin C to patients and then abandoned them to their own devices.

“If this is the case, why are our recovery numbers greater than 300? Of the more than 300 patients who have recovered, was it only vitamin C that helped them recover? And what of those who received fans, the fans are also vitamin C?

Nana Boakye urged the public to ignore the minority leader and give maximum support to President Akufo-Addo to guide the country out of the Covid-19 crisis.

He rejected claims that President Akufo-Addo was to blame for the increase in cases, saying that evidence worldwide shows clearly that no country was prepared for the pandemic and that everyone had been trying to control the disease.

“From the United States to Germany and South Africa, everyone is fighting and no one blames their president for being the cause of the increase, only in Ghana,” said Nana Boakye.
