Burnley vs Tottenham – LIVE!
José Mourinho’s Spurs shook off their remarkable weekend collapse against West Ham by sealing a close 1-0 win at Burnley.
Following the 3-3 draw with the Hammers, the Spurs kept things compact at Burnley, but couldn’t get a shot on goal in the first half.
Harry Kane was active at one end when he avoided a certain James Tarkowski goal with a goal-line clearance, then became a supplier to set up Heung-min Son for the winner.

We will have more news, analysis and reactions from the Spurs tomorrow morning.
Goodbye for now.
Here’s how Dan Kilpatrick rated the Spurs tonight …
Lloris 6, Doherty 5, Alderweireld 7, Dier 6, Davies 4; Sissoko 5, Hojbjerg 5, Ndombele 6 (Lo Celso 79 ‘6); Lucas 5 (Lamela 57 ‘7), Kane 7, Son 7 (Rodon 94’ 6).
Star Man: Harry Kane
Decisive on both ends, clearing James Tarkowski’s effort off the line and helping Son again.
“That was exactly what I expected. I know Sean and I know the difficulties he can bring to strike teams.
“He’s very smart, he plays with what he has and he gave us what I expected, which was a very difficult game.
“It was the kind of game where if we risk too much, we can lose it.”
“I think we are at a stage where we have been so close for so many years, many of us have been together for four or five years. The additions this year have been great and we are all gaining more experience.
“We know that with the team we have and the players we have we can do something special. It is to make sure that when you come to places like this you are fighting for every point and result. To recover and polish these results, these are the results that count when end of the season.
“It was a huge game today, it’s not an easy place to come. It’s going to be a tough game, a great battle and these are the games you need three points if you’re going to be up there at the end of the season. .
“It’s great, we need everyone to score and help out at the top end of the field. Sonny and I have had a nice little partnership recently and I hope it continues.”
“Even today it wasn’t an incredible assist, but Sonny liked him and the 1-0 away from Burnley is a fantastic result.”
SOCIAL
That wasn’t pretty by any means, but how important that win will be for Spurs. Just look at Mourinho and Kane’s reactions – they are absolutely delighted with three points putting them at the top of the table. Six games on the season and they are two points behind the leaders. They would have taken it at the beginning of the campaign.
A great victory for the Spurs, who were far from their best but leave Turf Moor with three points.
Last seconds here …
93 minutes: A pause in play when the Spurs attempt to counterattack and the ball hits the referee. Burnley complained that the ball was falling on them, but the new rule, well, the new one in the sense that it’s not really understood yet, is that if you hit the referee, the game is delayed.
SUBS
Mourinho makes a late trade when Son exits for Joe Rodon, who makes his Premier League debut with Spurs.
90 minutes: There are four minutes of stoppage time left for Burnley to make up for something, but the Spurs looked good behind tonight.
89 minutes: Time runs out here, and Lamela clumsily walks into McNeil. The Spurs backup may be a bit lucky not to be punished.
SUBS
83 minutes: Dyche is rolling the dice when Rodriguez replaces Gudmundsson.
82 minutes: The Spurs are trying to put this one to bed now, but Pope easily holds up a scissor volley from Lamela.
YELLOW CARD
79 minutes: Son is shot down by Long, and that’s a reserve.
SUBS
78 minutes: Another change for Spurs as Lo Celso replaces Ndombele.
That was brilliant of Kane. Running away from the goal to direct his shot into the danger zone. A moment to save goals outside his own line moments before and now a vital assist for Son.
OBJECTIVE!
That is the breakthrough! It’s the Spurs’ first shot on goal, and they lead … Harry Kane throws powerfully into a corner, and Son reacts brilliantly to head home from close range.
