Lydia Seyram Alhassan, Member of Parliament (MP) and 2020 PNP Parliamentary Candidate for Ayawaso West Wuogon, has called on party supporters to contribute to the 2020 election campaign.
According to her, supporting the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to win the next election is a collective responsibility and civic duty of all well-meaning Ghanaians.
He made the call during a fundraising campaign launched in Accra on October 23, 2020.
The fundraiser aims to get members and supporters of the PNP, both national and foreign, to contribute financially to the elections.
Lydia Seyram Alhassan, who praised the achievements of the PNP government under President Akufo-Addo, stated that government programs and social intervention policies have affected the lives of each and every Ghanaian.
According to her, this is reason enough for Ghanaians to give the nuclear power plant another chance to continue its good works.
Additionally, Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, who launched the fundraising campaign, urged Ghanaians to support President Akufo-Addo in the December elections to enable him to continue his economic transformation and comprehensive development agenda for the country. .
He said: “In my opinion, these are the most crucial elections of our generation,” because the country is on the cusp of a great transformation under President Akufo-Addo, and reinventing the wheel will set the country back.
Dr. Bawumia emphasized that what is at stake for the country in the December elections is a choice between the nation’s progress, represented by the PNP under Nana Akufo-Addo, and retrogression, represented by the opposition NDC under John Mahama. .
“Interestingly, and by the grace of God, when the ballot numbering came, NPP is number one; NDC is number two. If you choose NPP, you will take one step forward. If you choose NDC, two steps back. What is it. One step forward, or do you want two steps back? That’s the choice Ghanaians face and we have to make sure, we, the nuclear power plant and the people of Ghana, that we will protect the achievements that Nana Addo’s leadership Dankwa Akufo-Addo has contributed to the Ghanaians, “he said.
