Royalhouse Chapel International founder Apostle General Reverend Sam Korankye Ankrah warned both politicians and the public to desist from engaging in acts of violence before, during and after the December 7 elections.
The man of God who has been very instrumental in providing spiritual direction to the country said that there is no need for any group of people to take up arms and cause trouble to gain power.
“Do not incite young people to go out to kill and fight. Don’t fall over the edge of the road and don’t worry as you go. Don’t kill each other. Don’t go to fight, don’t fight, because politics is not fighting, politics is an opportunity to serve, ”he advised.
The Apostle General made the call by delivering a sermon in church on Sunday, October 25, 2020, in Accra.
He said that the hand of God prevails in the affairs of men, therefore, the selection of the next president is in the hands of God.
“Because the selection is in the hands of the Lord God Almighty…. Only one of the many candidates will be chosen; as such, a country that has come out several times by way of elections and has come out victorious, should not experience anything different this year ”.
In the sermon titled “There is no causeFrom Genesis 45: 5-8 and 24, the Apostle General referred to the biblical Joseph as a technocrat and politician.
Comparing his years in prison and the palace to being in the opposition and the government, respectively, Reverend Ankrah warned that losing the election does not mean losing everything.
“If you lose, you have not lost, because the palace is good, but the prison is also good … Just as it was in prison where José learned the art of service, being in opposition is an opportunity to get acquainted with it to the grassroots. and learn about their needs so that when you come to power you can better serve them, ”he said.
He added that the opposition teaches political parties lessons of humility “that’s when you learn empathy, which is when you get in touch with people on the ground.”
Referring to the incumbent administrations and their relationship with the rank and file, Rev Ankrah said: “As for those who win the elections, I know them very well. As soon as they arrive at the palace and take their position as butler and start serving the wine, they forget about the people in the prison.
“They change their phone numbers. When you call them, they don’t respond again. They only come back to us when the elections are close, ”he said.
The man of God also advised all political parties to accept the results of the elections to safeguard the peace of the country.
“If I were a politician and I lose an election, I will never go to war, because I am aware of the presence of an invisible hand. In fact, even to the Supreme Court, I won’t go there, because when I go to the Supreme Court I waste everyone’s time. But when I lose an election, I will go back to my God, and I will say God, now that I am in jail, help me to serve, help me to hold on to my faith, that I never get mad at you because you lost an election. “
He also urged Ghanaians to vote for applicants who are filled with the Spirit of God, wisdom, intelligence and knowledge.
