The program on the theme: “Seek Peace and Follow It” brought together some personalities, including chiefs, queen mothers, politicians, parliamentarians, clergy and opinion leaders from the electoral districts of Effutu, Gomoa East and West and Awutu Senya.
Apostle Appiah urged Christians to be agents of peace and to campaign to catalyze the many interventions of the Church and its partners in the Winneba district.

“We believe that the church as the body of Christ has been called to serve God’s purpose and, in this sense, over the years it has shown an unwavering commitment to support various governments towards national development and peace,” he said .
“Peace cannot be achieved by force, but by understanding, and for this reason, we must all call for a common understanding and commitment to peace from our country Ghana.”

He referred to the seven peaceful general elections and some by-elections in the Fourth Republic, saying that these achievements did not come by chance but by the contributions of each and every one and the Grace of God.
The church was hoping and praying that with the launch of the “Peacekeeper Campaign” all groups and individuals will contribute significantly to a peaceful electoral process in Effutu, Gomoa East and West, Awutu-Senya and all districts. elections of the country.
