President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has assured that plans to build a bridge over the Oti River in Dambai are ongoing.

It would also reduce congestion on the riverbank where passengers queue to board a pontoon in Dambai towards and around Kete Krachi, he added.
He said the bridge was a major project that would boost economic activities in the area and accelerate development.

As part of his visit, the president inspected the road works in the city of Kete Krachi, a 15-kilometer stretch awarded to First Sky Company Limited.
The scope of work includes drainage construction, earthmoving, paving and asphalt lining work and is expected to be completed in 2022.

Nana Besemuna thanked the president for the various urban roads under way in the region, especially within Kete Krachi, saying: “We are happy and grateful that the work is progressing steadily.
