“For me, if the NPP decides to pay Menzgold’s clients, I will stop campaigning for the party.” says Abronye DC
Injured clients of the defunct gold distribution company, Menzgold, have vowed to vote against Nana Addo in the next election if their blocked funds are not paid.
However, the regional president of Bono of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), also known as Abronye DC, spoke in an interview on Hello FM based in Kumasi said any attempt to pay aggrieved customers would be ‘illegal’
“It is illegal for any government to pay the clients of the gold company because it is an individual company and therefore the state cannot release funds to rescue it even on election day.” he affirmed.

It should be recalled that Kwadwo Boateng Agyemang, chairman of the New Patriotic Party (PNP) constituency in New Juaben North also said that he will campaign against President Akufo-Addo if he decides to pay the blocked funds.
Speaking as a panelist at Me Man Nti by Neat FM program, the constituency president said: “I tell you; if Nana Addo dares to pay them, I will campaign against him”
