PNP officials, including Gary Nimako, who elected the post for his party, and General Secretary John Boadu, were out of their minds with joy at the Electoral Commission (EC) headquarters in Accra on Tuesday.

They said it is a sign that President Akufo-Addo’s works have been certified and he is riding the waves by choosing the top spot.

Boadu said that it is only fair that the party obtained the first place because that will be the case on election day.

For his part, NDC Deputy Secretary General Peter Otukunor said that the party that chooses the second position is a sign that God has spoken with Ghanaians to return for former President John Dramani Mahama.

“We were waiting for number 2 and we have achieved it, on January 7, 2021, we will swear in John Mahama as the next president of Ghana,” he said.
