The owners of DStv and GOtv Multichoice in recent news have debunked claims that their system has been hacked by anonymous hackers.
According to information released by Multichoice, the system has not been hacked, but is being updated.

He also indicated that, due to the update, subscribers will have difficulties accessing any channel.
This has led the company to open all channels to facilitate access during the upgrade period.
“Rather than let subscribers go through that challenge, we decided to open all channels until the update is complete.” he told Nairametrics.

According to the source, the company informed its subscribers on Thursday of last week that there will be an update exercise that will last about three days.
He said, “Please note that the Multichoice offices are in the process a system update from 11 pm on Saturday October 17 until 4 pm Monday, October 19, 2020.
