Evangelist Diana Asamoah spoke with Nana Ama McBrown in an interview.
Ghanaian gosple musician evangelist Diana Asamoah made social media users and her fans laugh for days at the pronunciation of some words in English.
The musician, who is also a staunch supporter of the PNP, was on TV Africa to promote the party and ended up mispronouncing President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo’s popular saying “the battle belongs to the Lord.”
In the video that went viral, she was heard saying ‘the drums are from the Lord’.
Commenting on the video for the first time on UTV’s United Showbiz, monitored by GhanaWeb, he told host Nana Ama McBrown that he didn’t say “drums”; adding that she only spoke American English that day.
“I didn’t say ‘drums’, I said barrey … I spoke American English,” he said humorously.
